Three men have died in a stabbing in east London.

Police said they were called at about : GMT on Sunday to reports of a disturbance in Elmstead Road in Seven Kings, Ilford.

Three men, aged in their (s or) s, were found by emergency services with apparent stab injuries, the Metropolitan Police said.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have yet been made, the Met added.

Police said they were in the process of formally identifying the victims and informing next of kin.

Ch Supt Steve Clayman said: “While inquiries into this tragic incident are at an early stage, this is likely to be a triple homicide investigation. ”

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan tweeted: “My thoughts are with their families and the local community at this dreadful time.”

He said extra police enforcement powers had been authorized for the whole of Redbridge borough until on Monday.

A forensic examination of the scene is under way and will continue into Monday, police said.              (Read More)
